They call Zelenograd a sport district of Moscow as it has a considerable success in professional and in mass sports.

Here are some of the major achievements of recent times.

The pupil from Zelenograd’s school №111 Matvey Eliseev will present our country at the upcoming world championship on biathlon.

Tatiana Sukhova is a master of sports in fencing (saber). She studies at FLC “Youth” and has already won a silver medal in the championship of Russia and a gold medal at the fencing world Cup.

Some members of our professional rugby team are in the national rugby team of Russia.

Zelenograd has a large sport facility to hold competitions of the highest international grade – a sport complex with a rugby stadium near the Park of 40th anniversary of Victory.

Tennis player Olga Kulikova from Zelenograd plays in the national team of the country.

Football club "Zelenograd" was the first club in the history of the capital, that have made a "Golden double" three times in a row and won the championship and Cup of Moscow.

A young hockey team of club "Zelenograd" outpaces circular games not the first time in a row and reaches the playoff, where it acts confidently. 

4 pupils from the sport school №10 are the members of the Junior national hockey team.

This year Zelenograd’s district yard hockey team took the 2nd place in the team competition "Golden puck" in Moscow.

Nowadays there are 7 sport and recreation centers, 2 pools, 2 ice palaces, a major sport facility to hold competitions of the highest international grade – a sport complex with a rugby stadium near the Park of 40th anniversary of Victory in Zelenograd.

By the middle of 2016 they will complete the overhaul of the sport complex "Malino" and Zelenograd will get another modern, updated fitness center with a swimming pool. 

Besides at the end of summer they should open a small fitness center in the building 317а. On the basis of this center it is planned to open sections of Billiards, various dance styles and other individual and group classes for children and adults. 

Zelenograd is far ahead of the urban regulations by the number of street planar sport facilities: playgrounds, tennis courts, etc.
