In 2013 Zelenograd celebrates its jubilee – 55 years, and Zelenograd rugby is 45 years old. Besides, the 35th traditional international rugby tournament “Zolotoy Oval” (Golden Oval) took place in Zelenograd this year.
42 teams from different parts of Russia, as well as from France and Ukraine participated in the competition. About 700 sportsmen took part in the general tournament.
In the class of 2001 the winner was Krasnoyarsk; the silver went to Zelenograd, and the bronze to Noginsk.
In the class of 2000 Zelenograd won the first prize, Dolgoprudny came second, and the third prize went to Monino.
The French team in the class of 2000 came forth.
