Zelenograd celebrated the Day of Moscow a large-scale celebratory event on 10th of September. Live broadcast of the opening ceremony of the Moscow city Day 2016 was conducted on videoprojection screens installed in the Central square of Zelenograd.
Traditional flower-laying ceremony at the memorial sign "To the first builders of Zelenograd took place" on the Unosti square. The first builders of the city, heads of enterprises and organizations, veterans of the great Patriotic war and labor, representatives of youth public organizations and authorities took part in the event.
Then a festive theatrical procession with participation of district administration, local self-government, representatives of enterprises and organizations, municipal services, veterans, students, schoolchildren, creative teams passed through the Central Avenue of Zelenograd.
About 5 thousand people were in the convoy, among them: organization of science and industry, enterprises of the consumer market, construction and transport organizations, engineering services, housing and utilities, financial institutions, athletes, bikers, 4 brass bands, 3 groups of drummers, long-length car, embellished municipal vehicles, mobile boat on wheels, decorated locomotive, two retro cars etc. Columns of flag bearers, creative teams, students and local self-government were decorated with festive paraphernalia.
Delegations from Troitsk and Obninsk was visited on this day Zelenograd.
The parade ended on the Central square. Festive concert program with participation of famous professional artists and creative teams was held in the Central square until late in the evening.
14 thematic areas, attractions and retail outlets worked in the Park 40-anniversary of Victory. "The scientific town" was one of the traditional sites. Here young innovators from Zelenograd and Troitsk has presented more than 30 projects.
The festive program of the city Day of Moscow ended with a Grand fireworks in Zelenograd.
