Joint field meeting of the Federation Council Committee for science, education and culture and the Commission Moscow City Council on education was held in Zelenograd. The questions of the prospects for the development of secondary and professional education were discussed at the meeting.

At the beginning of their visit, the senators and members of Moscow City Council honoured the memory of Soviet soldiers who died in 1941, during the battle for Moscow. They laid wreaths and flowers to the monument at the railway station "Kryukovo".

After that, the participants were divided into three groups and went to three educational institutions of Zelenograd. They visited the Lyceum No. 1557, gymnasium No. 1528 and the new school No. 2045 in the side No. 23 "Green forest". School leaders conducted tours for schools, made presentations.

Zelenograd plant "Mikron" was the next place of visit: General Director of "Mikron", academician of Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov showed modern microelectronic manufacturing.

Discussion on the prospects of education development in Russia was held in Prefecture of Zelenograd in the afternoon, which was held by the Chairman of the Council of Federation committee for science, education and culture Zinaida Dragunkina and the Chairman of the Commission Moscow City Council on education Anton Molev. The Minister of Moscow Government, head of Moscow Department of education Isaak Kalina and the prefect of Zelenograd Anatoly Smirnov took part in the work. The draft outcome document of the session due to the large number of enquiries and proposals was approved and sent back for revision.
