About 3,000 Participants Marched in the Immortal Regiment in Zelenograd

On Victory Day, participants of the Immortal Regiment marched through Central Prospect with photos of their relatives, Army and Navy war veterans, partisans, undergrounders, Resistance fighters, homefront workers, concentration camps prisoners, survivors of the Siege of Leningrad. About 3,000 people joined the action.

Participants of all ages gladly shared stories from the lives of their relatives – those who contributed in the Great Victory day after day!

Hundreds of Zelenograd residents stretched the St. George ribbon along the entire route from the Yunosty Square to the Central Square – almost 1.5 kilometers. The march finished at the main holiday scene, located near the Zelenograd Cultural Center. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and representatives of veteran organizations were seated in the first rows before the scene.

The welcoming speech of Anatoly Smirnov, the prefect of Zelenograd, was followed by the festive concert, and then the park fire show and festive fireworks thundered in the evening in the Park of the 40th anniversary of Victory.
