This year Zelenograd celebrated A Town Day with much eclat. Lots of events coincided with the holiday were held in every Zelenograd district on September 3rd and 4th. Eight of them took place in Silino district, including ‘Beloved City’ programme for veterans with tea-drinking and games for children in Kovcheg social service centre and show at Shkolnoe lake.
Recreation ground was inaugurated near building 617.
Celebration programme in Staroe Kryukovo district started with musical and poetic show in Pushkinski square. The event dedicated to the memory of Beslan tragedy victims and opening of commemorative plaque for Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Kibkalov also were parts of the day programme.
The celebration programme in Zelenograd also comprises outdoors festivals and other events.
The celebration on the 4th of september traditionally started with the floral tribute to the commemorative token for the first builders of Zelenograd and continued with the civic pageantry at Centralny avenue and the show programme in Pobedy park with recreational, thematic and youth areas, the playland, the research ground, ‘Veterans’ yard’ etc.
The celebration programme culminated with the magnificent fireworks!
