MIET was visited by ARM company delegation. Advanced RISC Machines (Great Britain) is one of the biggest international programmers of 32-bit RISC processors modern architecture for portable devices.

ARM licenses its own technology to such companies as Atmel, Cirrus Logic, Intel, Marvell, NXP, Samsung, Qualcomm, Sony Ericsson, Texas Instruments that implement it. MIET already cooperates successfully with NXP and Intel companies.

ARM representatives met MIET rector Yu.Chaplygin and informatization and international activity pro-rector S.Umnyashkin. They also visited the international educational centres founded at MIET in cooperation with Synopsys and Cadence electronic companies.
During the visit the negotiations about founding ARM’s educational centre on the base of MIET were conducted, as well as about cooperative specialists training program in electronics and IT.
