During Bavaria Days in Russia the 4th Russian-Bavarian bioengineering conference (RBC – 2008) with the participation of two Russian higher technical education institutions — MIET and MSTU (Moscow State Technical University n.a. N.E. Bauman) — as well as two German institutions — Minich Technical University and Friedrich-Alexander University (Erlangen-Nuremberg) — was held in MIET.

At the opening ceremony MIET rector A.Chaplygin, first deputy prefect A.Mikhalchenkov, Minich Technical University professor N.Nawab and Siemens company representative A.Bartenev spoke to the audience.

In the conference program there were plenary reports of German and Russian scientists on biomedical equipment current topics.

More than 120 Russian representatives (professors and young scientists of Russian leading institutions of higher education, research institutes and companies representatives) and 26 German professors and postgraduates took part in the conference.

The event held is another step in cooperation between our countries and scientists as well as a perfect opportunity of experience exchange in bioengineering.
