Zelenograd NIU MIET students’ project won one of the hackathon nominations from NASA and will fly into space.
NASA Space Apps Challenge runs simultaneously around the world. Last year, 25,000 enthusiasts from 187 countries participated in it. The event is part of the NASA incubation program.
This was the second time the hackathon was held in Moscow. The capital site gathered more than 100 participants who presented 22 space exploration projects.
NIU MIET students presented a project of emergency alert and instructions system. The following is the principle of the system: if the parameters from the sensors have deviated to a critical value, a warning about a system malfunction comes to the screen; if no action follows, the speaker starts to broadcast malfunction repairing instruction.
The competition hosts will provide an opportunity to test the project in space for further refinement and implementation.
