Zelenograd company introduced a new version of the Pushkin robot

The company «Neurobotics» introduced a new version of the anthropomorphic robot «Pushkin», which already knows how to identify the interlocutor, respond to his emotions and maintain a conversation. This is reported by the Information Bureau of the National Technology Initiative. Alexander Pushkin is a famous Russian writer.

For dialogue, the robot was equipped with a movable bionic neck, participating in non-verbal communication, as well as a function of human identification.

A robot can recognize a person’s face, identify its emotions, and copy it onto its face by activating mimic engines. With the help of the new EmoDetect function, Pushkin is able to memorize and further identify a person’s face from the camera image. The function of creating a database of photos and assigning each photo a name allows you to conduct personalized communication with the further interaction of the robot with the interlocutor.

The robot received not only a new appearance, but also an expanded number of engines to increase mimic capabilities. As before, the robot can demonstrate such emotions as joy, sadness, surprise, fear and anger, but now with more realism.
