Microelectronic Circuitry by Zelenograd Companies Can Be Found In Any Domestic Spacecraft

Protected space microelectronics has been manufactured in Zelenograd from the first years of its foundation. First integrated circuits, developed in 1964 in the Soviet Union, were created on Angstrem. The “Trail” microcircuit from Zelenograd was an integral part of the Zond-7 automatic space station onboard computer which took pictures of the far side of the Moon.

The second series of chips for "Posol" onboard computers was designed specifically for deep space. They flew to Venus and Mars.

Angstrem has also developed a “Photon” photoelectric device that can capture up to 10,000 frames per second.

Zelenograd has its own conquerors of the space. Sergey Revin, Hero of Russia, a MIET graduate, has become the 113th cosmonaut of Russia (USSR) and the 526th astronaut of the world, having completed his first flight on May 15, 2012 as a flight engineer.

Any domestic rocket carrier or spacecraft carries microelectronic circuitry from Zelenograd enterprises, namely, Angstrem, NIIME and Micron, NPP OPTEKS, NPK Axel, PKK Milandr, Guskov Scientific Research Institute of Microdevices them, SRI "Submicron", Component plant.
