Postgrades and young scientists have created their own 3D printer, which is used by students of the University and students for learning the basics of 3D printing. The printer created on the basis of national research University «Moscow Institute of electronic technology» supported by SKB «Robotics».
The head SKB «Robotics», the leading expert on 3D printing Institute Stanislav Shepelev , said that this way postgrads and young scientists from MIET decided to help students of Zelenograd district with creativity development . The printer was specifically developed for the Department of microelectronics, which develops sensors and navigation system.
The 3D printer can be used by students and other departments today.
Stanislav Shepelev said: «It is important to involve students in the practice, to introduce with test development and to involve in research or creative projects. We support all ideas».
It should be noted that the processes of design and creation of the robots are proceed by the instrumentality of the same 3D printer that makes the process much easier.
Experts MIET conducted training workshops on 3D printing for students last summer. Some students were able to engineer their designs and details.
«Courses for schoolchildren and high school students was created to promote robotics», – said Stanislav Shepelev. – We are planning to develop this program in the future. Good engineers are not born, but made. It’s important to talk with the younger generation about technological innovation. In such way we will get not only MIET applicants, but also future talented engineers.
The additive serial production of led technology is scheduled to be opened in Zelenograd. The production will be directed to the manufacture of industrial products, not only to create prototypes. The 3D printing technology lies at the heart of this production. The initiator of the project is JSC «Engineering center for microelectronics» at support of innovative territorial cluster «Zelenograd».
