This year marks the 55th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into orbit around the Earth.

April 12, 1961, for the first time in the history of mankind was made a real breakthrough – the flight of manned spacecraft into space.

Such city as Zelenograd did not exist in 1961. Were already drawn up the plans of his building, had begun to lay communication and to erect the first buildings, but the "electronic" future of satellite of Moscow is not even expected.

Soon, however, ways of Zelenograd district changed dramatically. Zelenograd, such as other cities began to supply products for space exploration, therefore April 12 is also Zelenograd professional holiday.

In April of last 10 years in the halls Zelenograd historical Museum has consistently held a thematic exhibition "Zelenograd – space".

Their stories motivate children to choose the way the astronaut.
