A man made an important step towards the launch of a new production by 130-90 nm technology on "Angstrom-T" in Zelenograd – they inaugurated a power plant company.
As the General Director of JSC "Angstrom-T" Anatoly Sukhoparov explained, the construction of a private power plant was dictated by the necessity to provide a new high-tech production with "pure electricity", but only one power plant could give such an uninterrupted mode.
The highest installation capacity of the power plant is 42 MW. Besides it is very compact – its size does not exceed 1 thousand sq m, it is approximately two times less than conventional power plants. While there are 5 generators in the asset, there is also a reserved place for the sixth, which can be optionally installed.
It was the Finnish company Wärtsilä, who built the power plant "Angstrem-T". It specializes in the production of marine power plants, power stations and occupies one of leading places in the global energy market. Power plant equipment from Wärtsilä can run both on gas and diesel fuel, and if necessary switch between carriers occurs automatically, without stopping and reduce of the load. Environmental standards of the power plant meet all current requirements.
Several famous people took part in the selomn opening ceremony. Among them were: Leonid Reiman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Angstrem-T"; Vladimir Dmitriev, the Chairman of VNESHECONOMBANK; the prefect Andrey Novozhilov; Anatoly Sukhoparov, the General Director of JSC "Angstrom-T"; and Sergey khudoleev, the second Secretary of the Embassy of Finland Eliisa Turnberg and Director of business development "Wärtsilä Vostok".
Commenting on the importance of this event for Zelenograd , the prefect A. Novozhilov noted that events of such a magnitude haven't occurred in Russia over the past 30-40 years:
«Today was given the start to a gradual launch of a new high-tech production, which will give impetus to further growth of the microelectronics industry in our country, and new high-paying jobs and the development of urban infrastructure in Zelenograd».
After the launch of the plant, they expect to start a new plant in 2016. In particular, in an interview with reporters A. Sukhoparov, its General Director, noted that the start of a new production is scheduled for 2nd quarter of next year. At the initial stage the plant will produce chips of 90 nm. And by 2017-mu, perhaps, there will be samples with the topology of 65 nanometers. The plant expects to meet requirements of the Russian market in the chips, including the participation in the issuance of the card "the World", and export of 80% of products abroad, mainly in Southeast Asia.
They expect to employ 900 employees at "Angstrem-T", 300 of them are already working at the company. The plant plans to solve the personnel problem with the help of the students of MIET. In addition, some vacancies will be closed at the expense of foreign experts, whom they plan to invite from Germany and England. The plant will operate continuously in 4 shifts.
