The international rugby action Global Pass 2017 was held in Zelenograd

The international action Global Pass2017, organized by the "Rugby Federation Zelenograd" and CC "Dobrovolec" was held at the stadium "Sports school of Olympic reserve №111" Moskomsport.

About 300 of Zelenograd Rugby players took part in the event. This action, similar to the Olympic torch relay, means to travel Global Pass ball  between Rugby clubs around the world.

The action is timed to the 450th anniversary of the Rugby School in the same English town, and its organizers were students of this school. The school was founded in 1567 by means of a local merchant L. Sheriff and it is included in the  seven sacred British private schools, as one of the most prestigious and raised such outstanding people as L.Carroll and William Webb Ellis.

The Global Pass ball got to Zelenograd  thanks to a friend of Zelenograd Rugby M.Kochkin (graduate school of Rugby) , and our Rugby players were able to take part in  this global relay.

By the way, Zelenograd became the only city in Russia, which took part in this relay.

Representatives of the Rugby Federation Zelenograd sent their english colleagues a ball as a gift with a friendly greeting and invitation to school teams in Zelenograd on various tournaments.
