
Zelenograd Angstrem’s specialists has developed 6 types of chipsets for GLONASS satellites, which are specially designed to work in outer space by order of JSC "Information satellite systems" named after academician M. F. Reshetnev. . Work has been performed in the framework of the program of import substitution.
The microchips are second to none of foreign analogues in quality and their main advantage is resistance to cosmic radiation. All large integrated circuit (LSI) are made on basis of base matrix crystals (BMC).
It is planned that 10 angstrems microchips will operate in each new GLONASS satellite, which are involved in the control system of the navigation apparatus. New products meet all modern requirements, both on functionality and on the weight and size characteristics.
The number of angstrem’s microchips on the satellite can in the words of the first Deputy General Director of JSC "Angstrom" Nicholas FPGA.
– In parallel with cooperation with "ISS Reshetnev name", we are work with a number of enterprises of the space industry. In the frame of import phase out we have also developed for them several circuits that will be involved in the onboard equipment of GLONASS satellites.
"Angstrem" and "ISS Reshetnev name" have been negotiating about the replacement of foreign electronic component base (ECB) since 2012.
