Mark, archbishop of Egoryevsk, Tikhon, bishop of Podolsk, Father Vladimir, rural dean of Zelenograd churches, deputy of the state Duma of the Russian Federation V. Resin, Zelenograd prefect A. Smirnov, head of Kryukovo administrative board A. Zhurba and believers of Zelenograd took part in the ceremony.

On May 29-31 St. Petersburg hosted the VIII Russian-Bavarian Conference on Biomedical Engineering RBC-2012, organized by Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”, MIET, Bauman MSTU and Friedrich-Alexander University (Erlangen, Germany).

The ground-breaking ceremony of the Business centre in the housing estate 16

The solemn ground-breaking ceremony of the Business centre in the housing estate 16 took place, with the first deputy prefect A. Mikhalchenkov and the head of Zelenograd Centre for Entrepreneurship Development M. Shcherbakov taking part in it.
The business centre is to be built in pursuance of Enterprise and Small Business Development Programme, according to which 3 places of enterprise and small business are to operate in Zelenograd.

MIET graduate aboard of Soyuz spaceship

Sergey Revin, the first cosmonaut graduated from MIET, moved to International Space Station aboard of Soyuz spaceship.
Sergey Revin is a Russian research cosmonaut of Roscosmos cosmonaut corps, senior lieutenant retiree. He graduated from MIET in 1989 with the speciality of automation and electronics. He moved to ISS for a longtime expedition 31–32 as an onboard engineer.

Laying of wreath and flower to Zelenograd monuments

On the eve of the 67th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War celebration the laying of wreath and flower ceremony was organized in Zelenograd.
The solemn ceremonies took place in the Park named after the 40th anniversary of the Victory near the bust monument to K. Rokossovsky, the monument at the bed of honour at Kryukovo station and the monument to the Moscow defenders at the 40th km of Leningradskoe highway.

The 13th Moscow International Military Song Festival ‘Vivat Pobeda’ (Vivat Victory)

On the 30th of April and the 1st of May in Zelenograd culture centre the 13th Moscow International Military Song Festival ‘Vivat Pobeda’ (Vivat Victory) took place. Traditionally it is devoted to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, but this year it was also coincided with the 200th anniversary of victory in the Patriotic War of 1812.
This year more than 100 participants from Moscow, Moscow region and other Russian regions as well as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kirghizia and Ukraine took part in the festival.

Nearly every Russian space module that has reached outer space or just is going to can not do without hardware components or computer system and equipment which have been made in Zelenograd, at Mikron, Angstrem, Komponent facilities, NPO ELAK, Submikron research institute, NPP OPTEKS, NPC SPURT etc. Onboard control and data processing systems for Soyuz TMA and Progress-M space modules are being developed here. Zelenograd participates in apparatus manufacturing for GLONASS navigation satellite system.

Moscow-Bavarian Student School MB-JASS was first held in Munich

March 27 - April 2 Bavaria hosted the 6th Annual Moscow-Bavarian Student School MB-JASS, organized by MIET and Technical University of Munich (TUM). The first five years, the school took place in MIET, and this year for the first time in Germany. The main organizers of MB-JASS are MIET Vice-rector Sergei V. Umnyashkin and Prof. TUM Ernst Mayr assured the participants that this project would be developed in the future.

At the Tsentralnaya square of Zelenograd the 5th jubilee ‘Autolady 2012’ drivers’s skills competition took place. It is nearly a professional event for female drivers.
The participants compete in 4 classes, ‘Newcomer drivers’ (no experience), ‘Trainees’ (up to 3 years of experience), ‘Autopilots’ (3–10 years) and ‘Experienced drivers’ (over 10 years).
