National Research University of Electronic Technology "MIET", located in Zelenograd, was included in the international ranking of the best universities in the world 2017 Times Higher Education. The global rating Agency has put "MIET" on 19-th place among Russian universities. In the press center of the University of Zelenograd said, THE – one of the most famous and recognized in the world.

– Calculation of ranking has been subject to independent audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), which means that a full, independent study of its kind. The rating is compiled this year more than 1000 universities using 195 individual indicators. 77 countries represented in the ranking. 27 universities in Russia ranked among the best universities in the world according to Times Higher Education "MIET" occupied in the list of 19-th place, – is told in the information message on the website of "MIET".

University of Zelenograd significantly improved its position in the field of research activities, compared to last year. This shows the high scientific potential of the University. MIET has overtaken RUDN University, Sechenov University, Siberian and Ural Federal Universities.

The rating Times Higher Education evaluates several key indicators of world universities. Industry income, teaching level and international standing are the advantages of "MIET". Minus MIET is a small quantity of foreign students (only 2%). For example, 22% of foreigners studying in Lomonosov Moscow State University and in Tomsk Polytechnic University – 24%.

It is important that the number of Russian Universities in the ranking increases every year. There were 13 in 2015, in 2016 – already 24, and this year – 27.
