Zelenograd celebrated its 60th anniversary

On September 8, Zelenograd celebrated the 60th anniversary of its foundation.

The opening ceremony was held at the monument of the first builders of the city. After that, the festive parade with participation of the employees of city companies, local administration and municipalities, secondary and high school institutions, athletes, etc., was held. The column paraded along Central Avenue and joined the concert and entertainment program shown on the main stage of the Central Square.

In Victory Park, numerous thematic interactive sites hosted main events dedicated to the city birthday. Festive fireworks preceded by fire show thundered over the park in the evening.    

The memorial sign was opened this day at Zeleny Bor, district 23 of Zelenograd. It was dedicated to Dmitry Razumovsky, the Hero of Russia, Vympel lieutenant colonel who fell heroically during the liberation of the hostages at school No. 1 in Beslan on September 3, 2004.

On September 9, the Day of the City celebrations continued at 35 sites in Zelenograd.
