A solemn march of the Cadets and the march of the “Immortal Regiment” passed through the Central Square. According to preliminary estimates, more than 1,000 people took part in this event.

The route of the marchers ended at the main stage of the holiday, located near the Cultural Center “Zelenograd”. Here in the forefront were attend the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and representatives of veteran organizations. Cadets and military men saluted the veterans, and the participants of the Immortal Regiment welcomed them.

At the end of the march, Anatoly Smirnov, prefect of Zelenograd, said his welcoming speech. Later, in an interview, the head of the city administration shared his joy that a very large number of people took part in the “Immortal Regiment” action and among them there are a lot of young people, fathers and mothers with children.
