The day was bright, warm, even hot. The route for the half marathon was not ran according to the usual route: the circle was not 7 km, as usual, but 5, and there were descents and ascents there. Therefore, the previous, familiar to us satellite race gave way to two new disciplines: competitions for 5 km and 10 km. In addition, the runners could compete in the 3x7 km relay race. And before the general start, a traditional non-competitive children's 500 m race was held.
Perhaps, the updates of the track, coupled with a hot day, did not allow the winners to compete for the record of the Zelenograd half marathon. The best time at a distance of 21.1 km was 1 hour 08 minutes 05 seconds and 32 millisecondes.
The race, as usual, attracted many participants: only registered (in all categories) athletes were 1328, and in addition, many fled out of the competition without a number, for a pleasure (the regulation allows this). But, of course, the results of “free” runners in the official protocols are not fixed.
At the 5-kilometer distance among men the winners were Oleg Sidorov, Viktor Nikolaev, Sergey Kalinin. Among the women are Galina Bubnova, Alina Romashova and Olga Tuponogova.
At a distance of 10 km, a couple of Konyakhins took a “golden double”: Sergei Konyakin first came to the men, bypassing Andrei Lepikhov and Yevgeny Stolyarov, and Yuliya Konyakina became the first among women. The second and third place took Tatyana Avdeeva and Ksenia Ivanova.
At the main distance – 21.1 km – among women the winner was Ilempi Madeeva, the second one – Anastasia Kolmagorova, the third one – Maria Levina. Among the men, Dmitry Safronov was celebrating the victory, Alexander Pavlenin took “silver” and Farid Mukhamedzarifov became the third. At the same time for a long time in the third position there was a Zelenograd fellow Ilya Sharshov, but he did not calculate his strength and was satisfied with the fourth place and the title of the best in the race among the Zelenograd citizens.
The awarding ceremony was held by Deputy to Prefect of Zelenograd Oleg Panin.
