Back in Soviet times, not only ducks, but also swans nested in the Bykovo Boloto swamp, a neglected lake. This was told by the prefect of Zelenograd, Anatoly Smirnov who opened the summer season for black swans.
In the early 2000s, the idea was born to let the swans live again in the Bykovo Boloto Swamp.
Six beautiful birds were released this May. In recent years, the bird management regulations have been elaborated. Feeders with proper feed are placed around the perimeter of the swamp. As A. Smirnov noted, it is possible that the swan families will appear in other places of the city.
