A massive testing for antibodies to coronavirus started In Zelenograd

A program has been launched in Moscow for free testing of residents for the presence of antibodies to a new coronavirus infection with the simultaneous collection of smears for PCR diagnostics.

The selection of program participants is carried out centrally, taking into account age and place of residence. Testing is performed by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, which allows to detect the presence or absence of human IgM antibodies (a marker of the presence of coronavirus infection) and IgG (a marker of immunity to coronavirus infection). A smear is taken from the mucous membrane of the mouth and nasopharynx.

In Zelenograd, the first group of residents has already been screened.

Having passed the IFA test, Moscow residents will receive information about their immune status. If necessary, specifying PCR tests will be done, a diagnosis will be made and treatment will be carried out. Potential carriers of infection will have to draw up a sick leave and go into self-isolation mode.
