For more than 15 years, MIET (the largest university in Zelenograd) has a tradition of choosing Miss and Mister MIET. The competition gives students the opportunity to show their creativity, find new friends and like-minded people, get an interesting experience and usefully spend their free time.

Over the past years, the contests have been held separately, but in 2020 it was decided to make a joint event again. On October 23, the online final of the Miss & Mister MIET 2020 contest was held, in which 7 finalists - 4 boys and 3 girls - took part. Ebenezer Ofori became the owner of the main title "Mister MIET".

Mister MIET 2020 Ebenezer Ofori:

- I come from Ghana - a country located in West Africa. Our capital is called Accra, and there I lived all my life before coming to Russia. There are over 256 languages spoken in Ghana, but I only speak one of them.

I love God and I know that he loves me. I love my family, I love being around people. I am interested in music and art. I love playing basketball, dancing and writing short poetry. I do not accept when human rights are violated. And I don't like people who use power to infringe on others.

I am inspired by David from the Bible. Because thanks to him, I realized that for everything that you have already done or are just about to be, you should be grateful. Also important to me are people like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Mark Zuckerberg and Alexander Pushkin.

"Miss and Mister MIET" is one of the events at MIET that shows the best of what students can do. This competition provides avenues for participants to develop skills and interests. The participation of both girls and boys made it even more fun.

After the victory, I feel a special responsibility and I think that my example has inspired many foreigners in our university and beyond not to be afraid to show their talents.
