
At the session of the Moscow city government on February, 27 special economic zone "Zelenograd" sites development plans were approved.
The main spokesman, the chief of the Moscow City Architecture Committee Alexander Kuzmin, explained the main differences of the two sites of the zone - Alabushebo and MIET. Construction of 1 mln sq.m. of working areas is planned on the first site - "Alabushevo" (145 ha). Custom zone, innovational business-centre, administrative centre, exhibition centre and helicopter deck are planned on the site.
The second site - "MIET" (5 ha) is located on the territory of the Moscow institute and just demands a slight rehabilitation. 65 th. sq. m. of working areas are planned for the construction on the site (40 th.sq.m. is a reconstruction of existent areas). Among priority actions here are: completion of technological village construction, common usage centers construction, innovational and training centers construction.
The Mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov has approved the sites development plans, but highlighted that the process of the projects realization should be boosted. Moreover he noted that the residents attraction work was being carried out not actively enough.
