On May, 13 the mayor of Moscow Yuri LUZHKOV and the head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russia Herman GREF visited Zelenograd. In the number of those accompanying were the first deputy of mayor in the government of Moscow Yuri ROSLYAK, the leader of the department of economic policy and development of the capital Marina OGLOBLINA and other officials. The purpose of the visit was acquaintance with the condition of the project of creation of technical-inculcational economic zone "Zelenograd".
 
At the conference, which took place in the technological village of MIET, the chairman of Moscomarchitecture Aleksandr Kuzmin and the prefect of ZelAD Anatoliy Smirnov came out with the reports. The head of The territorial administration of Federal agency on control of special economic zones (project technical-inculcational zone "Zelenograd") Vladimir Baskin was answering in detail on questions of participants of action.
 
Calculations showed that the equipping of zone for three years will manage approximately into 23 billion rubles. These expenditures the capital and federal center will take upon themselves in half. Distinguished guests looked around the exhibition of the projects of potential residents of TIZ "Zelenograd". Territory of one of the areas of zone (former prom zone Alabushevo) today presents only vacant land. But mayor was optimistic. "The first housings at this place will appear already in the following year, - reported Yuri Luzhkov to journalists, - and toward the end of 2008 1 million square meter of production area will be erected." Evaluating the creation of zone, mayor emphasized: "Electronics industry and science in the field of electronics are concentrated only in one place of our country - in Moscow and Zelenograd". The mayor of the capital also explained that the empty band in the sphere of electronics can give grand result. "This super profit matter is the future of our country. This is that thing which will free it from the monopolistic dependence on the raw resources ".
