Zelenograd doctors pulled out a coin from a patient's nose that had been there for over 50 years

A 59-year-old patient came to the clinic with complaints of a complete absence of nasal breathing in the right side of the nose for several months. A computed tomogram showed that the nasal passage on the right side was completely blocked by a foreign body of stony density, and in the posterior sections, closer to the nasopharynx, there was a rounded object.

Only after the CT scan patient remembered how in childhood (at about the age of six), playing, he stuck a coin into his nose. He was afraid to tell his strict mother about it, and then completely forgot.

The patient underwent submucosal correction of the nasal septum, removing the curved part of the cartilage, and removing the foreign body from the nasal cavity.

The man has already returned home. He regained full nasal breathing.
