The Nobel  laureate Zhores Alferov visited Zelenograd. He lectured on the efficient generation and transformation of light for Zelenograd`s  pupils and students of National Research University of Electronic Technology.

More than 800 people gathered in the hall of the university`s recreation center.

Every future engineer and electronician used their chance to see and to talk with the Nobel laureate.

For the first time Zhores Alferov visited Zelenograd in 1963 when the research laboratories were situated in accommodation units.

“Today in spite of all loss Zelenograd keeps staying the microelectronics acknowledged leader not only in Russia, but also in the world, - said the Nobel laureate to schoolchildren, MIET students, postgraduates and staff members during the meeting.
