December 5 – day of military glory of Russia, which ushered in the great victories of the Soviet troops in the Great Patriotic War. The Battle of Moscow, the counter-attack of our soldiers against the nazis, defeated a powerful enemy – these events honor and remember Zelenograd in the territory of which were large-scale battles.

Solemn laying of flowers and wreaths at the monuments and memorials were held in Zelenograd. Flowers laid to the monument of Marshal of the Soviet Union, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky in the Park 40th anniversary of Victory, the monument on the mass grave in the Park near Kryukovo station, as well as for military burials in the area Kryukovo, at the Central cemetery of Zelenograd and to the memorial complex "The Bayonets" at the 40th km of the Leningradskiy highway.

Prefect of Zelenograd Anatoly Smirnov, his deputies, heads of administrations, heads of municipalities, veterans of the Great Patriotic war and labor, representatives of organizations of veterans and law enforcement agencies, Patriotic clubs and associations, concerned residents of the district took part in the ceremonies.
