Guskov was a renown specialist in the field of rocket and space equipment, pioneered the development of practical space exploration, and is known for his significant contribution in the field of space exploration radio-electronic components. The professional activity of Gennady Guskov is inextricably linked with the fate of Zelenograd. In 1967, he was appointed director of the Scientific-Research Institute of Micro-Instruments, and later became head of Elas R&D company. His unique organizer’s abilities allowed him to create in Zelenograd a team of professional specialists working in the field of domestic space technology. Owing to his efforts, Zelenograd is today at the forefront of scientific and technological progress, being the flagship of the domestic electronics industry.
