JSC Mikron, the leading microelectronics manufacturer and exporter in Russia and CIS participated in the section “silicon microelectronics is the basis for innovations” at the International Nanotechnology forum Rusnanotech 2011. In the frameworks of the section the representatives of Russian and foreign microelectronic companies as well as representatives from the states discussed the development of semiconductors in Russia, marked the reasons that restrain its growth and suggested measures of elimination.

The International forum Rusnanotech is the site for the innovative development of nanoindustry. October 26h is the opening day of Sitronics microelectronics event. Sitronics organized the section “ the silicon microelectronics is the basement for innovations that initiated with the round table “ Russian market of microelectronics- what goals are we approaching to”. The participants discussed the production competitiveness of electronic devices and its complete cycle assembly, the boosting of domestic demand and the policy of intellectual property protection. Among the participants were the moderator Alexander Suvorov the radiolectronics Deputy Director of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Sitronics Vice President the Academician Gennadiy Krasnikov, The President of SEMI Heinz Kuendert, the Vice President of STMicroelectronic Alain Astier, the FTIAN Director Aleksandr Orlikovskiy, Science and Technological Director of Skolkovo’s IT- cluster Nikolay Suetin, First Deputy General Director of JSC “Angstrem” Alexey Tabolkin.

The Sitronics Vice President, the academician Gennadiy Krasnikov said: “the Microelectronics is the basis of any technical device and the development of native semiconductors deals with the technological independence and the authority of the country on the world stage. Today the representatives of scientific circles, business and public authorities tried to gain the general view and criteria of microelectronic development.

The President of SEMI Europe Heinz Kuendert stated:”Russia has already own up-to-date microelectronics production facilities – a Micron factory. However, one plant with such microelectronic traditions is not enough. For further development one should develop the ecosystem of microelectronics and introduce economic benefits for Russian producers".

In conclusion the panel discussion was taken place “Who would revive the microelectronic cluster in Zelenograd, that was organized with informational support of internet portal Zelenograd.ru. In the course of discussion the participants pointed out the main suspending reasons of microelectronic development cluster in Zelenograd and offered the adjusted measures. In particular the participants of the discussion emphasized the necessity to accept the program of tax incentives, since today the native companies are in the state of open competition with the World producers that realize successfully the internal preferences of the countries that allocate their production. Alexander Erlich is the chief editor of Zelenograd.ru participated as the moderator of the discussion. Among those who participated were Marketing Director of JSC Mikron Karina Abagian, the Director General of NT-MTD Viktor Bykov, the Vice President of STMicroelectronics Alain Astier, the Head of SEZ Zelenograd Yuriy Vasiliev, the head of the innovation development department of MIET (TU), Vladimir Leontiev
