Mikron enters the market of contactless chip tags

NIIME I Mikron JSC started delivering a new product, high frequency contactless self-adhesive tags with chips for RFID library stocks control system implementation in Siberian State Medical University, Tomsk.

The tag which contains the unique code is to be placed on a book or a CD. The system also includes the libraries being equipped with different readers, smart shelves as well as software installation for automatic registration system and implementation of library cards with embedded RFID chips.

More than 150 libraries over the world have already used RFID technology to optimize their work. There are National Library of Singapore, Public Library in Winterthur (Switzerland), Mastics Morichles Shirley Com. Library L.I. (USA), Library of Eindhoven (Holland) among them. RFID tags application let libraries significantly cut financial and time expenses for finding and lending copies, control stocks location and provide their security, improve service, particularly by self-service racks implementation.
