«NIIME i Mikron» OJSC of «Citronics» IT concern and Zelenograd reconfirm their being unofficial centres of Russian microelectronics. Both the city and the production facility were highly praised by first vice premier Sergey Ivanov during the opening ceremony of the plant for microchips of  0,18 micron layout level production.

Sergey Ivanov stated the high rates of new technologies implementation. For this year the company made a significant bound forward. Last year at «Mikron» S.Ivanov could see microchips of  0,8 and 1,2 micron layout level production. Today’s 0,18 micron level is comparable to the world standard. First vice premier highly praised «Citronics»’s activity and mentioned that the enterprise already holds 70% of Russian export market and is going to increase the share.

«Mikron»’s products have rosy prospects. The chip-modules are very likely to be used for new documents – single social cards of Russia inhabitant, passports, migration documents, bank and payment systems, driver’s licenses, technical passports etc. The technology is impossible to counterfeite.
