More than 80 central and district events devoted to the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War were held in Zelenograd on the 9th of May.

This morning citizens watched the online broadcast of the Victory parade on the Red Square in Moscow. Intercontinental rockets “YARS”, operational-tactical missile complexes “Iskander”, tanks, military different kinds of troops and many others passed this day on the Red Square. Large screens were located in the Central square of the town.

Then the flashmob action “Greeting of Russian Aerospace Forces” was held near the site of the parade' broadcast. The participants formed up the red stelliform symbol of the Russian Space Forces, having red balloons in their hands. Thus, citizens welcomed flying over the Zelenograd military aircraft – fighters, tankers and strategic bombers, the characteristics and fighting qualities of which exceed all military aircraft in the world, including NATO and which Russian Federation has a lot.

The solemn procession of Zelenograd military-patriotic clubs and military classes of educational institutions was held on the Central Avenue in the evening of the same day. They carried the symbol of memory of Victory – art facility, approved by the citywide design concept of Moscow, and then a parade with music of a solemn march was held in front of veterans in the Central square.

Later the 4-hour concert program was held in the square. The “Veteran of the yard” was organized there, where the veterans were able to meet friends, socialize and listen to the military songs. After that the taxi drivers helped the veterans to get home.

The concert program was prepared for the citizens of Zelenograd with participation of city' creative teams and professional artists. A moving exhibition of Zelenograd Museum dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the 75th anniversary of the Moscow Battle was organized on the square.

The laser shooting and rides worked for Zelenograd youth. The field kitchen, trade and workshops were organized during the celebration. The holiday ended with fireworks in the 40 years of Victory' Park.

20 million Soviet citizens died during The Great Patriotic War. Today in Russia and in all ex-USSR republics it is hardly to find a family untouched by this war. 71 year has passed since the Great Victory, many witnesses of those terrible days are not alive. But their descendants and successors will always remember the great feat of their ancestors, the victory over fascism in the world.
