Micron RF tags were used at the XXIX Global Winter Universiade held from March 2 to March 12, 2019 in Krasnoyarsk. As ordered by the Directorate of student games, the plant produced 61,500 contactless RFID tags for smart badges of the electronic accreditation system: athletes, judges, coaches, representatives of the organizing committee and other sports delegations, as well as volunteers and journalists.

The badge served as a pass to the sports grounds. Due to integrated UHF RFID chip, it provided comfortable and fast passage for participants and guests to the corresponding areas of the sports facility. Use of such a system ensures the top security level at events, allows to control access and monitor the situation at event sites.

Since 2014, Mikron has already delivered more than 5.5 million RFID tags for the largest sports, cultural and business events in Russia: the Olympics in Sochi, the 8th Confederations Cup 2017, the 21st FIFA World Cup 2018, Russian Internet Forum, Russian Internet Week, SPIK-2018.
